Our team successfully delivered a robust bridge and drainage installation designed for long-term durability, environmental resilience, and full highway compliance. The project incorporated a combination of heavy-duty concrete bagwork and reinforced concrete bags installed at the pipe inlets and outlets to provide superior erosion protection and structural stability.
To ensure maximum strength and longevity, we installed over 600 SoluForm concrete bags secured with 900 hot-dipped galvanised rebar pins, creating a reinforced retaining solution capable of withstanding demanding ground and water conditions.
The works also included:
- Tree clearance and site preparation
- Full traffic management and highway lane closure implementation
- Permit coordination and highway authority compliance
- Installation of twin-wall corrugated drainage pipe systems for effective surface and sub-surface water management
- Timber safety fencing installed to both sides of the bridge
- Crushed asphalt bridge surfacing completed in line with Central Bedfordshire Council specifications
